Carl Landis Funk
Carl Landis Funk, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
He was born February 8, 1928, in Mercersburg, Pa., the son of the late Joseph and Lidia (Weyant) Funk.
He was married to Evelyn Hose Funk.
He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1970. After retiring from the military, he was employed at JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, as a warehouseman in the machine shop.
He was a member of the Redmans in Williamsport, Md., the Amvets in Hagerstown, Md., and the North American Legion in Hagerstown, Md.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn E. Funk of Hagerstown, Md.; two sons: Charles Michael Funk of Needmore and David Carl Funk of Zanesville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Funk of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Lidia Mae Funk; his first wife, Doris E. Garland Funk; one brother, Richard Funk; and one sister, Josephine Funk.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Mc- Connellsburg. Interment as at Union Cemetery. Rev. Len Smith officiated. The Fulton Honor Guard conducted military honors.
