James and Miriam Palmer of McConnellsburg are proud to announce the birth of their second child, a son, Samuel James, born December 11, 2009, at 1:06 p.m. He was delivered at Waynesboro Hospital with the assistance of Rosie Klinepeter.

He weighed 8 1/4 pounds and was 20 inches long. Samuel also has a sister, Ester

Proud grandparents are Annie and Jens Kofoed of Bornholm, Denmark, and Carole and Sid Palmer of Waterfall. Great-grandmother is Lise Kofod of Bornholm, Denmark.
