Congratulations to Rodney O’Neal of

Wells Tannery on his recent publication in Mules and More Magazine. Rodney, father of Kara Park, wrote an article on a mule he saved named Fighter.

Orbisonia United Methodist Church Bible study is held on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The topic “Intentional Faith Development” is an open forum and anyone can attend.

Ruth Grissinger and the “Angel Wings” girls, Tami Ulsh and Deb Snyder, met on Wednesday evening for dinner and a business meeting. The next event they are preparing for is the Mother’s Day Dinner served family style at the Orbisonia Lions Club from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Watch for more information on the menu and door prizes.

Adam and Toryn Locke visited with Gordon and Donna Locke and attended Immanuel Bible Church sunrise services.

George Locke, Irene Park, and Shirley and Tim Henry were Easter dinner guests in the home of Paul and Susie Schmidt and Barb Frehn.

Roger and Pat Ramsey hosted Easter dinner for Chad Ramsey, Brian, Emily and Micah Ramsey, Terry and Trudy Fix, and Charles and Linda McQuait and families.

Tiffany Moore, James Locke, Ruth Grissinger, Nora Grissinger, and Gordon and Donna Locke enjoyed Easter dinner at Sunny Ridge Restaurant.

Congratulations to Jane Brown on her recent retirement from Woodland Retirement Center.

The Nazarene Church in Rockhill hosted the annual Community Good Friday celebration. It was enjoyed by all who attended.

Our sympathy is extended to the families of Dick Price and Don Zeigler.

The Cantrell children enjoyed all the blessings the Easter Bunny left for them.

Buzz and Bea Covert hosted Easter dinner for Travis Madden, Angela Roher, and Andy, Tasha, Shaine and Kean Goshorn. The afternoon included an egg hunt.

The Three Springs Fire Co. will be hosting a chicken barbecue on Sunday, April 18. Take-outs will be available.

Five-dollar raffle tickets are available for a drawing the week of June 15 to 19 based on the straight evening daily lottery number to benefit Angel Wings. Prizes include, on Monday, $250 worth of beef (steaks); Tuesday, a $500 cash prize; Wednesday, $250 worth of beef (steaks); Thursday, a $200 gift card from Sandy Ridge Market; and Friday, a grand prize of $1,200 worth of groceries from Sandy Ridge Market. Angel Wings is a group of volunteers in a nonprofit organization helping to fill needs of many folks in our area.

Visitors with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family this week were Brent and Joann Carlson, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Ramon Martin, Gary, Donna, Cassie and Caleigh Clark, Travis and Tristen Hall, Camden Lupey, and Travis Madden.

More than 125 adults and children attended the Easter egg hunt at Immanuel Bible Church on Friday morning.

The last shooting match at the Hustontown Firehall will be held on April 10 and will be a hog shoot.
