Knobsville Singles will meet Monday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Cherie Fix’s house, to carpool to Bob Evans Restaurant in Breezewood.

Ham Potpie Dinner A ham potpie dinner will be held Friday, April 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church in Shade Gap, one mile north of Sunny Ridge Restaurant on old Route 522. Cost is adults $6 and ages 6-12, $3; under 5 are free. Takeouts available. More information available at 814-259-3900.

Chicken Barbecue Needmore Volunteer Fire Co. is holding a chicken barbecue on Sunday, April 18, starting at 11:00 a.m. Menu will be half a chicken, baked potato, baked beans, cake and roll.

Food/Yard Sale A food and yad sale will be held at Clear Ridge community building May 6 and 7 at 8:00 a.m. Soup, sandwiches, pies and lots of good and new items for sale.

Garden Club Tea North End Garden Club tea will be held Tuesday, April 27, at the Knobsville United Methodist Church at noon. Bring a fancy finger food to share and teacup and hat. New members are welcome. More information may be obtained by calling 717-485-4789.

Roast Beef Dinner Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, will be having a roast beef dinner on Saturday, April 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Menu will be roast beef, mashe dpotatoes and gravy, lima beans, roll, drink and dessert. Hoagie Sale St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Big Cove Tannery, will hold a hoagie sale Saturday, April 17. Lunch will be served at the schoolhouse across from the church and madeto order hoagies will be served, along with homemade soups and pies. For call-ahead orders, contact Betty Bivens at 485- 3058. Mark calendars for Saturday, June 19, for the annual church festival at the church. All are welcome.

Food Auction Hustontown Area Volunteer Co. will sponsor a food auction Friday, April 9, at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Frozen foods, snacks, etc., will be available.

Spaghetti Diner McConnellsburg SADD will once again hold a spaghetti dinner before the high school musical on Saturday, April 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to community service projects – Relay For Life and Walk for Diabetes. Angel Food Ministries April sign-up for Angel Food Ministries menu and specials will be held at the Fulton County Catholic Mission on the following dates: Thursday, April 8, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and at the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You do not have to order the signature box to order the specials. Potpie Supper Trinity United Church of Christ in Fort Loudon will hold its chicken, ham and beef potpie supper Saturday, April 10. It will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the community center located at Hawbaker Drive and Mullen Street. You may eat in or order carryouts. Adults meals are $7. Meals for children ages 7-12 are $5 and under age 7 eat free. The menu includes pepper slaw, applesauce, pickles, cake, iced tea and coffee. Chopped onions and vinegar will be available for those who enjoy adding them to their potpie. The meal is all-you-can-eat served buffet style.

Italian Night/Bake Sale The Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church will be having an Italian night/bake sale on Saturday, April 10, from 4-7 p.m. All are invited. Dinner will be by donation.

Hunters Helping Kids Banquet Mason-Dixon Chapter Hunters Helping Kids annual banquet/auction will be held April 10, 2010, at Hustontown Firehall. Come and show your support to a 501c3 organization. All donations are tax deductible. Donations include all-you-can-eat meal. There will be prints, guns, hunts and many more items. Adults $15; couples $20; children 6-11 $10; and 5 and under free. Turkey/Ham Dinner A turkey and ham dinner will be held April 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Six Mile Run Firehall. Sponsored by Six Mile Run Area Volunteer Fire Co.

Pancake Supper Forbes Road Lions Club will hold a pancake and sausage supper at Clear Ridge Community Building on Saturday, April 10, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. or until supply of food is exhausted. Loose sausage will be available at $10 per five-pound bag. Donations accepted.
