James F. Hensell Jr.
James Franklin Hensell Jr., 67, Hedgesville, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home after a battle with leukemia.
Born January 14, 1943, in Sharpsburg, Md., he was the son of the late James Franklin Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Snyder Hensell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Faye McNeil Hensell, on May 9, 2008.
He was a 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School.
He was employed as a mechanic with East Alcoa of Frederick, Md., until his retirement.
He was a veteran of the U.S. navy, serving during Vietnam.
He was a member of Tribe of Judah Word Ministry of Hagerstown.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori Ann James and her husband, Anthony, Hedgesville; a daughter, Karen Adele Oyster, and her husband Todd, Hagerstown; sisters: Ruth Bowers, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Rosemary Saylor, Hedgesville; Ann Hite, Capon Bridge, W.Va.; Linda Hensell, Hagerstown; Patricia Clark, Williamsport, Md.; brother George Hensell, Warfordsburg; and grandchildren: Andrew, Morgan, Danielle, Trevor Ray, Brandon and Aaron.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hensell Bowers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, at 11:00 a.m., at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. Pastor Timothy Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Military graveside services will be provided by Morris Frock Post 42, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, Wednesday, March 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
