Edna M. Colyer
Edna M. Colyer, 80, Tyrone, died at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Hillview Golden Living Center, where she had been a resident.
Born April 3, 1929, in Hopewell, she was a daughter of the late David A. and Marie Mae (Fagley) Bollman. She was twice married: first to Ralph Rumberger, who preceded her in death; then to Arthur Colyer, who survives.
She is also survived by two children: Thomas Rumberger and wife Karen, and Crystal Colyer and companion Barry Herr, all of Tyrone; four grandchildren: JoAnn Rumberger Williams, Lock Haven; and Thomas J. Rumberger, Ridge Allen Colyer and Sara Louise Marie Herr, all of Tyrone; and five great-grandchildren, also of Tyrone.
She is also survived by three sisters and a brother, Grace Funkhouser, Mechanicsburg; Audrey Jane Reed, Huntingdon; John Bollman, Saxton; and Delores Houck, McConnellsburg.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Tyrone, where she belonged to the Gertrude Black Sunday School class.
She was a 1948 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School.
She was employed as a sewing machine operator with Big Yank.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and her pets.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Tyrone. Pastor Jason Guillaume officiated. Interment was made in the Carson Valley Cemetery.
Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, was in charge of arrangements.
