Van Struck In Hit-And-Run
A 2004 Dodge Caravan along Route 475 in Taylor Township was struck by an unknown vehicle between 12:01 a.m. on March 5 and midnight on March 9. A 23-year-old McConnellsburg man informed state police that while in the process of obtaining a credit report he found three credit applications that he did not authorize. The incident involving theft and forgery occurred between 12:01 a.m. on December 29, 2009, and midnight on February 23.
Driver Cited Following Crash
Kelly Lee Seville, 26, of Mc- Connellsburg was cited by state police following a single-vehicle accident along Cito Road on Wednesday, March 10.
According to state police, Seville lost control of her eastbound 1999 Pontiac Trans Am at 6:45 p.m. while travelling at a “speed greater than reasonable.” The car crossed into a field and came to a rest in a creek. Seville was wearing a seat belt and escaped harm.
Bad Check Written
The Taylor Township tax collector received a bad check issued for payment of property taxes between 12:01 a.m. on January 1 and midnight on March 9 at midnight. State police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Fugitive From Justice Apprehended
State police, McConnellsburg, apprehended a fugitive from justice following a traffic stop in a construction zone along Interstate 70 on Tuesday, March 9. During the 12:11 p.m. traffic stop, state police determined Gregory Renell Clegg, 26, of Canton, Mich., was wanted by law enforcement officials in Baltimore, Md. Clegg was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott. He was remanded to the Franklin County Prison in lieu of $25,000.
A 16-year-old McConnellsburg boy was cited for harassment following an incident in the parking lot of Penn’s Village Shopping Center on Thursday, March 11. According to state police, the juvenile allegedly walked up to a 14-year-old boy from Mc- Connellsburg at 3:50 p.m. and struck him in the face.
The paint on the trunk of a 2000 Cadillac sustained $100 in damage while parked in the Giant parking lot on Thursday, March 11, between 10 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. The car is owned by a 76-year-old McConnellsburg woman. Car Crashes Into Tree
A 1999 Ford Escort crashed into a tree that had blown across North Valley Road in Brush Creek Township on Friday, March 12. State police reported driver Karlin J. Ford, 28, of Wells Tannery was not injured during the 8:10 p.m. accident just north of Jerry Trail. Ford was using a seat belt.
Mount Union Man Cited After Crash
Forty-nine-year-old Andrew J. Noel of Mount Union faces charges of driving a vehicle at safe speeds following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Great Cove and Lowery roads in Todd Township.
According to state police, Noel’s northbound 1997 Ford Escort struck the rear of a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Timothy G. Brindle, 38, of James Creek.
Both Noel and Brindle were both wearing seat belts when the accident occurred on Friday, March 12, at 3:10 p.m. Brindle complained of stiffness after the crash but refused medical treatment.
Vehicle Pursuit Ends In Hancock
State police, McConnellsburg, arrested a New Market, Md., man last Tuesday evening following a high-speed pursuit that began along Interstate 70 in Brush Creek Township and ended in Hancock, Md.
State police troopers clocked 32-year-old Gregory Eugene Wills travelling at 89 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone. Wills refused to stop for troopers and allegedly committed numerous traffic violations during a portion of the chase between Amaranth and Warfordsburg.
Stop sticks were eventually deployed along Route 40 in Maryland where Wills was taken into custody. State police were aided during the chase by Hancock Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the Maryland State Police.
A tire on a 2002 Ford F-150 was slashed while parked at 637 Lincoln Way East in Mc- Connellsburg Borough on Friday, March 12, between 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The vehicle belongs to a 35-year-old Three Springs man. State Police Investigate Crash
State police, McConnellsburg, investigated a hit-and-run involving a 2006 Nissan truck along Lincoln Way East near the intersection of Third Street in Mc- Connellsburg Borough. Police Search For Suspect
State police are searching for an unknown Caucasian male responsible for an incident involving reckless endangerment at 649 McKibbin Lane, Warfordsburg, on Thursday, March 11.
The victim, a 37-year-old man from Mechanicsburg, informed state police during the investigation that he arrived at the residence in Union Township to repossess a vehicle at 8:09 p.m. The victim reportedly got into a verbal argument with the suspect, who is described as 6 feet tall, thinly built, with dark hair and possibly goes by the name of Robert. The man stated that during the course of the argument the suspect swung a steel pipe at his head several times while being verbally threatened.

One Cited For Harassment
Twenty-seven-year-old Mc- Connellsburg resident David Lee Truax Jr. has been cited by state police for harassment after he was allegedly involved in a confrontation at Giant Food store on Monday, March 15. Truax reportedly verbally threatened an 18-year-old McConnellsburg man during the 11 p.m. incident.
