Charles R. Divelbliss, 79, Hancock, Md., died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born April 24, 1930, in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carrie Alice Diehl Divelbliss.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.

He was retired from Rayloc in Hancock.

He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Hancock.

He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion, Hancock, and a charter member of the Hancock Rescue Squad.

Surviving are his wife, Olive M. Diehl Divelbliss, whom he married June 27, 1958, at Grace Church of the Nazarene; a sister, Mary Smith, Bedford; two brothers: Herbert Divelbliss, Crystal Spring; Joseph Divelbliss Jr., Hagerstown; a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters: Hazel McCusker, Ethel Dively, Edna Hull and Ruth Stotler; five brothers: Curtis, Thurman, James, Homer and Harold Divelbliss.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Rev. Willis Swope will officiate. Burial, with a military service, will be conducted by the Tri- State Honor Guard in Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, near Hancock.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Church of the Nazarene, c/o Treasurer, 530 N. PA Avenue, Hancock, MD 21750.
