Fletcher Completes Training

Adriel F. Fletcher, who was assigned to 3rd Battlion, 60th Infantry Regiment, was honored in a military ceremony at fort Jackson, S.C. While attending combat training, Fletcher completed a required score of expert marksmanship on a range no soldier had accomplished since being built for such training. A plague was erected at the range, and Fletcher received recognition for his ability to engage the enemy during training. Required distance of 300 yards and hitting multiple targets during urban warfare training while wearing full tactical gear were mastered.

Fletcher has been given the opportunity to attend master sniper school for his accomplishments.

Commanding Gen. B.G. Bradley W. May presented him with several gold coins and medals during the military graduation.

Fletcher is the son of Adriel and Monica Fletcher of Warfordsburg and the brother of Mitchel Fletcher. He will continue his military training in Missouri, then in the fall he has been accepted to Indiana State University to major in psychology and criminal law.
