Cheryl Brown Joins Hospice Of Washington Co.


Cheryl A. Brown, professional fundraiser and former director of community relations & development for Fulton County Medical Center (FCMC) joined the team of Hospice of Washington County on February 1 of this year. Brown is responsible for all start-up efforts to secure funding to maintain, enhance and expand services to those in need. A mortgage-burning campaign, African Art Auction, 30th Anniversary Celebration and Dedication and Run to Remember are all being planned.

Prior to joining the Hospice team, Brown’s accomplishments included assisting in raising more than $13 million for the new Fulton County Medical Center, which opened in November of 2007. She was instrumental in forming the FCMC Foundation and designed several campaigns, including the Continuing the Dream Campaign to fund the new patient services building scheduled to open in June.

Her experience also includes holding the following positions; vice president for College Advancement at Wilson College in Chambersburg and executive director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western & Central Massachusetts. Brown serves on the board of the Capital Theatre Foundation in Chambersburg and has recently formed her own foundation, The Butterfly Wings Foundation.
