Cardio-Pulmonary Patients Donate to Food Basket
Harry Lee Garland, president of the board of the Fulton County Food Basket, accepted a check totaling $273.50 from the patients at Fulton County Medical Center Cardiac Rehab gym. The patients began an eight-week weight loss program at the beginning of the year. If they gained a pound, they had to bring in a nonperishable food item or donate a dollar each week. FCMC officials guaranteed to match their pounds lost $1 per pound. The end result was a net loss of 79.5 pounds.
