Exercise The alumni community center gym (old McConnellsburg High School gym) will be open to the public free for walking or any other type of exercising Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 1:30 p.m. until spring.
Meet And Greet At Golf Club The Ladies Golfing Assoc. at Great Cove Golf Club will hold a “meet and greet” gathering on Sunday, March 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for members to meet and get acquainted with the new club staff. Bus Trip Modern Woodmen of America Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, May 8. The bus departs from the McConnellsburg Courthouse at 6:00 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at approximately 8:30 a.m. and arrive in New York City near Macy’s at approximately 11:30 a.m. A stop will be made also halfway home for supper. Estimate arrival back in McConnellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and the breakfast buffet is $45 for adults and $40 for kids under 12. Egg Hunt McConnellsburg Lions Club will host its annual Easter egg hunt for youths 12 and under at the Lions Community Park on April 3 at 10:00 a.m. There will be different age groups with prizes for each group.
FR Easter Egg Hunt Forbes Road Lions Club will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Lions Park, conditions permitting. In case of inclement weather or muddy grounds, the event will take place in Forbes Road High School gym. Eggs, candy and special prizes for toddlers thru 12-years-olds. Raffle tickets are now on sale to support the egg hunt and other Lions Club projects.

Hunter-Trapper Course The Fulton County Hunter-Trapper Course will be held March 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. Hall Walking McConnellsburg SADD will be offering hall walking at McConnellsburg High School starting at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hall walking in the high school will be every Tuesday and Thursday with the last day being on Thursday, March 25. If the school closes because of the weather hall walking will be cancelled. Please come and join us to get some exercise during these cold months. Please park in the parking lot and not along the building. If you bring your children, please supervise them. Please sign in when you come and sign out before you leave.
