SF Girls Compete At Districts

Southern Fulton clinched a third-place finish in District 5-A playoffs last Thursday evening with a decisive 52-44 win over Berlin Brothersvalley. During last week’s match, Indian Chelsie Eader rallied for 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six steals. Lacey Beatty netted 18 points, and Jenna Hollenshead almost recorded a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds. By winning the consolation game, the Indians secured their chance to participate in the PIAA State Tournament on March 13.

The Southern Fulton Indians got off to a slow start and weren’t able to recover in the second half of last Tuesday’s District 5-A semifinal game against Tussey Mountain. In falling to the Titans by a score of 40-26, Lacey Beatty was the team leader for Southern Fulton with seven points. Jenna Hollenshead followed closely with six points, and Taelor Morton and Chelsie Eader both had four points. Eader also added two assists and seven rebounds.
