FR Boys Take Third In District


On March 12 the Forbes Road Cardinals are slated to make their first appearance in the PIAA State Tournament since the 1999- 2000 season after having downed Shade last Wednesday during the District 5-A consolation game to take third place. In winning the match 65-54, Jesse Newman led his Forbes Road teammates with 30 points. Tanner Henry poured in 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked four shots. Trent Black also reached double figures with 10 points and four steals. The Cardinals will face Elk County Catholic in Friday’s matchup at Clarion University.
