Wood Pellet Co. Bringing 45 Jobs To Pa.
BOSWELL, Pa. (AP) – A Massachusetts company that makes wood pellets plans to open a plant in southwestern Pennsylvania.
First Nation Wood Pellets LLC, plans to open the plant in the Jenner Township business park in Somerset County. That’s near Boswell, about 55 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
First Nation President David Dunham says the plans will create about 45 manufacturing jobs.
Wood pellets can be burned in home stoves as an alternative to oil, coal, natural gas or electric heat.
The plant should produce about 78,000 tons of pellets annually.
