Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a regular shooting match Saturday, March 13, at 1:00 p.m. Shells will be furnished. First- and second-place prizes awarded.

Exercise The alumni community center gym (old McConnellsburg High School gym) will be open to the public free for walking or any other type of exercising Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 1:30 p.m. until spring.

Meet And Greet At Golf Club The Ladies Golfing Assoc. at Great Cove Golf Club will hold a “meet and greet” gathering on Sunday, March 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for members to meet and get acquainted with the new club staff. Members and certificate holders are invited for hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage Saturday, March 27, at 6:00 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Free admission. Come share your talent. Bring a friend.

Silent Auction The Forbes Road Drama Club is having a silent auction/ bake sale to benefit the high school musical ”Grease.” The auction/ bake sale will be held March 25 and 26 from 4-6 p.m. and March 27 from 9 a.m. to noon in the high school auditorium. Some of the items up for bid are Mary Kay Cosmetics, rag quilts, jewelry, photo packages, hair care products, and more.

FR Easter Egg Hunt Forbes Road Lions Club will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Lions Park, conditions permitting. In case of inclement weather or muddy grounds, the event will take place in Forbes Road High School gym. Eggs, candy and special prizes for toddlers thru 12-years-olds. Raffle tickets are now on sale to support the egg hunt and other Lions Club projects.

Magic Show McConnellsburg SADD will host an evening of magic March 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the McConnellsburg Auditorium with magic and illusions of Jay Mattioli from “America’s Got Talent” and Tommy DeShong. John Deere Expo Tour Cove Mills Old Farm Machinery Association is sponsoring a five-day bus tour to include the Caterpillar tractor and John Deere combine factories, John Deere Museum and Expo, National Farm Toy Museum and Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum. Open Mic Night Open mic night will be held at Warfordsburg Senior Center on Saturday, March 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Emcee for the evening will be “Duley.” Light refreshments will be available. Hunter-Trapper Course The Fulton County Hunter-Trapper Course will be held March 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. Preregistration is required. Check “yes” on PGC Web site at www.pgc.state.pa.us. Click on Education/Hunter Education class schedule. Class is limited to 65 students. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday. Hall Walking McConnellsburg SADD will be offering hall walking at McConnellsburg High School starting at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hall walking in the high school will be every Tuesday and Thursday with the last day being on Thursday, March 25. If the school closes because of the weather hall walking will be cancelled. Please come and join us to get some exercise during these cold months. Please park in the parking lot and not along the building. If you bring your children, please supervise them. Please sign in when you come and sign out before you leave. Jogging may only be done between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the outside lanes. Come both Tuesday and Thursday and win a token each week. Any questions, please call Kathy J.
