Local Kids Raise Funds To Help The Community

Kids from the local Modern Woodmen of America Youth Service Club recently worked together with Kathy Kendall to raise funds to help their community. As part of the organization’s Matching Fund Program, the kids helped with the community dance that raised more than $3,000 to benefit Justin Hudson.

The McConnellsburg club is one of approximately 800 youth clubs nationwide that provide young Modern Woodmen members with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. club members donate more than 300,000 hourss of volunteer service each year. The matching fund program offers club members the chance to show their support of a community cause or an individual in need by holding fundraisers.

Last year, matching fund projects conducted by Modern Woodmen camps and youth service clubs raised $6.5 million to contribute to community projects, local organizations and individuals in need.
