Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful Sunday with only a little cool weather, but at least it wasn’t snowing.

A nice crowd attended Knobsville United Methodist Church services on Sunday morning.

Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. will be sponsoring a couple events. They appreciated your support as they are there for us.

Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match on Saturday, February 27, beginning at 1:00 p.m. First- and second-place prizes will be awarded, with shells furnished.

The fire company will also sponsor an open stage on Saturday, February 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. A good chance to share your talent and make for an enjoyable evening.

Quite a few folks have been watching the Olympics. It was good to see the United States doing so well.

Congratulations to Forbes Road Junior High boys basketball team by ending its season winning the Everett eighth-grade tournament on Saturday.

Best of luck to Forbes Road varsity boys basketball team as they compete in the first round of district playoffs Thursday at home against Fannett-Metal.

Belated happy birthday on February 24 to Donald Bivens and also happy birthday to Tammy Cook on Friday, February 26, and to Charlotte Crouse, who will celebrate on February 28. Her birthday is actually February 29 when there is a leap year.

Household hint: Make your own cleaner: Formula for painted walls or floors: 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 gallon warm water.
