February Court Sessions Held
Judges Carol L. Van Horn and Douglas W. Herman of the 39th Judicial District of the Fulton/ Franklin County Court of Common Pleas presided over court sessions held on Tuesday, February 2 and 9.
Kirk Edward Danfelt appeared with his attorney and waived arraignment proceedings held on one count each of theft by unlawful taking; defiant trespassing; seasons, possession, bag limits and devices; and unlawful hunting of fur/game on Sundays. Danfelt entered a notguilty plea. His trial will be held on April 26.
Michael Scott Trail appeared with his attorney on charges of the corruption of minors, interference with the custody of children and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors. Trail waived arraignment and entered a notguilty plea. Trail’s trial has been tentatively set for the April 26 term of court.
David Wayde Cisney appeared with legal counsel for sentencing on driving under the influence and summary offenses. Cisney will complete 12 months probation and pay $1,000.
Stanley Earl Kohr appeared with his attorney and was sentenced to between 30 days and six months in the Franklin County Prison for driving under the influence.
Robert Wesley Tyler was sentenced to between 12 and 60 months in the Bedford County Prison for driving under the influence.
A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Brice Gentry in connection with a parole/ probation-violation hearing.
Lance Joshua Mellott appeared in court for a probation/ parole-violation hearing. He admitted to the violations, and a written court order was issued.
Marcos Miguel Hernandez appeared with legal counsel for arraignment on one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and the use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Hernandez pled guilty to drug possession and was ordered to complete 30 days probation.
Nicole Marie Keefer is scheduled to be sentenced on March 23 in connection with entering a guilty plea to accidents involving death or injury and driving under a suspended license. A presentence investigation will be completed by Fulton County Probation Department.
Michael Lee Montgomery waived arraignment by mail on two counts of driving under the influence and summary offenses.
Kerry Lynn Strait pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and summary offenses. Strait’s trial has been tentatively scheduled for the April 26 term of court.
