Cancer Survivor Night Held

On February 4, cancer survivors were invited to the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals versus the Lady Spartans game in the MHS gym. Outstanding games were played, with the Spartans winning the junior varsity game in overtime and the Cardinals winning the varsity game by 6. The following cancer survivors were honored: Ted Hall, 15 years; Kathy Kendall, 10 years; Lexi Richards, 10 years; Mike Keebaugh, 2 years; Carla Halverson, 1 year; Liberty Crouse, 8 months. Also in our hearts was Justin Hudson,– 30 days. A great time was held by all. A special thank-you to the American Legion of Mc- Connellsburg for all its help in making the first Cancer Survivors Night possible and to Joyce Long for her beautiful, delicious cancer survivor cake. Plans are already being made for next year’s night!
