Calhoun – Hedrick United In Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Calhoun Mr. and Mrs. Richard Calhoun Heidi Ann Hedrick of Mc- Connellsburg and Richard Daniel Calhoun of Mont Alto were united in marriage on May 30, 2009 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. The 4:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Pastor Clyde DeShong. David Shearer served as organist. The reception was held at the Jensen Dining Hall at Wilson College following the ceremony.

The bride wore an ivory princess style gown covered in beaded lace and a regency sash to match the wedding party. The gown had a chapellength train. The ride also wore a matching ivory veil and a tiara adorned with pearls and rhinestones. She carried a cascade bouquet of lavender hydrangeas, white and dark purple stock, dark purple carnations, lavender spray roses an purple lisianthus.

The bride is the daughter of Clair and Kathy Hedrick of McConnellsburg. She is a 2004 graduate of McConnellsburg High School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and education from Juniata College in 2008. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at Shippensburg University and is employed as a graduate assistant for the school counseling department. The groom is the son of William and Jean Calhoun of Mont Alto. He is a 2005 graduate of A Beka Correspondence Academy and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University in 2009. He is employed as a fourth grade teacher t Fairview Elementary in Waynesboro.

Rebecca Krauss of Bedford was maid of honor and Allisa McCloskey of altoona was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hartman of Washington, D.C., Julie Holsinger of Hagerstown, and Jessica Leggett of Highspire. Jordan Reed of Lebanon was the best man. Robert Shehan of McConnellsburg, Bryan Herr of Adamstown, Md., Aaron Robertson of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Benjamin Raffel of Waynesboro were groomsmen. James and Joshua Butts of McConnellsburg served as ringbearers. Leanna and Dani Young of Greencastle served as guestbook attendants. Rachel Calhoun of Mont Alto was the acolyte.

The stunning wedding flowers were designed by Summer Thyme Floral. The wedding cake was provided by Dawn Black. Coast 2 Coast Productions provided the entertainment at the reception. Kristen Earley photographed the precious moments of the day.

After a relaxing honeymoon in Hags Head, N.C., the couple resides in Chambersburg.
