William H. Parsons Sr.
For many years, he owned and operated the Tollhouse Exxon in Fort Littleton. After, he worked for L.S. Lee Construction in York, Pa. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the PA Turnpike as a toll collector.
He was a member of Fairview Methodist Church in Hustontown, and a member of the Mt. Zion Lodge #774. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and baseball. He also enjoyed his horses. Most of all, he enjoyed the family camping trips in Lycoming County. Along with his wife, Shirley, he created wooden crafts to sell at various craft fairs throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by one son, William H. (husband of Diana) Parsons Jr. of Orbisonia, Pa., and one daughter, Juliet (wife of George) Davidheiser of Linfield, Pa,; one granddaughter, Lauren Davidheiser; and two stepgrandsons: Zane and Dylan Reck; one sister, Patricia Knepper of New Holland, and two brothers: Barry and Carl Parsons of Hustontown.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Parsons; his parents: Howard and Martha Lister Parsons.
Funeral services were held 2:00, Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Center United Methodist Church in Hustontown. Interment was held at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. William Kuhn officiated.
