Thieves Break Through Walls To Steal From Library
      PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Police say thieves busted through walls to steal six computers from a library in a poor Philadelphia neighborhood. Library staff noticed the thefts from the Cecil B. Moore branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.

Facebook Dispute Precipitates Pa. Shooting; 3 Hurt
      PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Police say a dispute on Facebook led to a shooting outside a Philadelphia high school that critically injured two men and wounded a 17-year-old girl. Police Lt. John Walker says about 40 people, mostly teen girls, gathered for a fight outside Bartram High School on Thursday night.

      Nancy Szwydek of Warfordsburg has been awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in health sciences from Kaplan University. Szwydek’s accomplishment was celebrated during a live graduation ceremony on Jan. 30 in Miami, Fla. General Colin L. Powell, the 65th secretary of state and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, served as the commencement speaker.

Funeral Held For 1 Of 3 In SUV That Went Into Pond
      ZELIENOPLE, Pa. (AP) – A volunteer firefighter killed along with two other youths when their sport utility vehicle overturned in an icy western Pennsylvania pond has been laid to rest. Firetrucks escorted the body of 18-year-old Sam Bucci to a cemetery in Zelienople on Saturday after about 300 people attended a funeral service.
