Forbes Road 69

Chestnut Ridge 49 Trent Black continued a strong offensive effort Monday evening scoring 18 points, grabbing nine rebounds and making three steals for the victorious Forbes Road Cardinals, who downed Chestnut Ridge by 20 points. Jesse Newman totalled 15 points and nine assists, and teammate Tanner Henry reached 11 points. Andrew King and Dylan Gelvin both added eight points and Gelvin also had 3 steals.

Southern Fulton 63

McConnellsburg 41

Southern Fulton’s eight-point lead extended into a 63-41 Sideling Hill League victory over the McConnellsburg Spartans Friday evening. Luke Mellott reached double figures for the Indians in both scoring and rebounds with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Derek Younker added 13 points. Seth Hall and J.C. Munson both had eight points. For McConnellsburg, Drew Wink and Ryan Defibaugh contributed 10 and nine points, respectively. Defibaugh also had five rebounds and three blocked shots.

Forbes Road 55 Fannett-Metal 53

Trent Black scored the buzzer beater Friday evening following key free throws and a steal by Tanner Henry to push the Forbes Road Cardinals ahead of rival Fannett-Metal Tigers by the narrow score of 55-53. Black was hot from the three-point zone making five shots and finishing out the Sideling Hill League game with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Tanner Henry had a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards and teammates Jesse Newman and Tyler Keller followed with six and five points, respectively.

Forbes Road 60 Everett 54

After having trailed all Wednesday night, the Forbes Road Cardinals’ offense came through in the fourth quarter to pull ahead of the Everett Warriors 60-54. Jesse Newman and Tanner Henry both wrapped up the game with 16 points, and Henry also added three blocked shots and 10 rebounds. Trent Black contributed 15 points and three steals.

McConnellsburg 74 Fairfield 40

Three McConnellsburg Spartans hit double digits last Wednesday to lead their teammates onto a 74-40 non-league ousting of the Fairfield Green Knights. Ryan Defibaugh was team high scorer with 22 points and five rebounds, while Evan Appleby had 13 points. Drew Wink rounded out the game with 11 points.

Southern Fulton 69 Hancock 36

Southern Fulton shot an amazing 59.6 percent from the field and proceeded to trounce Hancock, Md., last Wednesday 69-36. Ryan Harper led the offensive effort with 14 points, and teammate Seth Hall followed with 11 points, four assists and four steals. Dylan Whiteside and Derek Younker both added nine points.
