Woman Charged In Father’s Death In 2007 Pa. Fire
ERIE, Pa. (AP) – A western Pennsylvania woman has been charged with homicide and arson in the death of her father in a March 2007 fire.
Police allege that 29-year-old Erica Dunston used a flammable liquid to start the blaze that killed 56-year-old Richard Dunston, a father of five and a Vietnam War veteran. Police say Erica Dunston was living in the home at the time, and another woman who lived there has been charged with hindering apprehension.
Investigators say the women were charged after an informant talked about the fire with them Friday while wearing a wiretap. Police and prosecutors are not talking about a possible motive for the crime.
Dunston is being held without bond in Erie County Prison. A listed phone number for Dunston could not be found Sunday and it was unclear whether she had an attorney.
