Rain Floods County Roads

Motorists cross the Route 30 bridge adjacent to Odd Fellows Lodge #710 in Harrisonville Monday morning as flood waters continued to rise. Bouts of hard rain and resulting flood waters caused closures of two state roadways, Route 655 from the intersection of Route 30 in Licking Creek Township to Spring Drive in Taylor Township and a portion of Dublin Mills Road, also in Taylor Township. Both roadways have since reopened. In addition to road closures, the Needmore Water Authority reportedly shut down its pumping station for a period of time Monday due to the quickly rising waters. The Fulton County Community Christian School accordingly closed its doors at lunchtime from the lack of water, giving students an unexpected early dismissal. –FULTON COUNTY NEWS PHOTO BY DAVID GREGORY Motorists cross the Route 30 bridge adjacent to Odd Fellows Lodge #710 in Harrisonville Monday morning as flood waters continued to rise.
