Betty Ramsey and Joe, Melanie and Dison Myers travelled to State College on Sunday for lunch at the Texas Roadhouse and the Pink Zone women’s basketball game as a belated birthday celebration for Betty.

Travis Madden, Angela Roher, Brooke Lightner and Tasha, Shaine and Kean Goshorn enjoyed lunch out and a movie on Saturday afternoon.

Buzz and Bea Covert visited recently with Marcy Locke of Hagerstown, Md.

A music fest will be held every Friday evening at the Orbisonia UMC Outreach Center from 7 to 9 p.m. >Everyone is welcome to attend or perform.

A pesticide update training will be held at Southern Huntingdon County High School on January 28 in the Vo-Ag Room from 7 to 9 p.m. A training will be held at the Huntingdon County Extension Office on February 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. Core and category credits will be given.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will be holding a regular shooting match on January 30 beginning at 1 p.m. Twelve-, 16- and 20-gauge shells will be provided.

Open stage will be held at the firehall on January 23 beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be holding a turkey dinner on February 7 beginning at 11 a.m.
