Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

The weekend weather wasn’t too bad. Only had a little rain

but, according to weather reports the coming weekend could be different as a snowstorm is forecast.

Sorry to report Ross Figard is a patient at Bedford Hospital. Hope he will be home soon.

We extend our sympathy to family and relatives of Ralph Fraker, who passed away on Sunday and also to Carolina Romig, who passed away.

Visitors in he home of Kate Berkstresser on Sunday as dinner guests in honor of June Ben- nett and Herbert Berkstresser’s birthdays on January 22 were Robert and June Bennett of Carlisle; Bobbie and Karen Bennett and children Mason and Sofie of Hershey; Harvey and Pat Berkstresser of McConnellsburg; and Herbert and Tammy Berkstresser also visited in the evening for dinner.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Ryan Berkstresser January 27 and Herbert Berkstresser III on January 30.

Sunday, January 31 will be Gideon Sunday. Richard Mellott will be bringing the message at Knobsville United Methodist Church.

Household hint: Protect silverware. Keep rubber bands and plastic wrap away from silverware. They can stain or corrode even those items covered with several layers of tissue or cloth. Silver pieces displayed in cabinets will tarnish less quickly if you store an open container of tarnish-retarding compound with them.
