18-year-old Indiana County boy exhibits winning lamb, topping 230 entries

Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding presented Garett Keith of Clymer, Indiana County, the grand champion title in the Junior Market Lamb Show on Sunday, Jan. 10, at the 2010 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

Keith, with his 144-pound Hampshire market lamb, bested 230 entries for his first grand champion win at the Farm Show. A member of the Marion Center FFA Chapter and Northern Indiana County 4-H Livestock Club, the 18-year-old received this honor with his homebred Hampshire lamb.

Judge Bob Hare from Winchester, Ohio, praised the exhibitors for the outstanding quality and depth of the show. He went on to admire the winning lambs for their outstanding completeness, muscling and balance.
