Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

Hope everyone had a nice holiday season and now we will have to settle down to the acts of Ole

Man Winter. The last few days have really been cold.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Mark Gelvin, who passed away Tuesday morning, and to the family of Linda Wireman, who passed away recently.

The Christmas program “A Problem With The Angels’’ was presented at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunda evening.

A spaghetti supper will be held Friday evening, January 15, from 5-7 p.m., at the Knobsville United Methodist Church. Price is $6.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 6-10, children under 5, free. Everyone is invited.

Happy birthday wishes to Yvette Miller on January 2, LaRhue Cunningham, January 4, Nora Boyer, January 7, Olivia Mills, January 11, Judith Rusack and Bryce Kylor, January 16.

Dinner guests in the home of Harvey and Pat Berkstresser on New Year’s Day were Lloyd Covert, Beverly St. Clair and Kate Berkstresser.

School vacation is over and the children returned to school on Monday, January 4.

As we start out the new year, we hope everyone has a good, healthy year ahead.

Household hint: A quick way to defog the bathroom mirror after a shower is to turn your hand-held hair dryer on it, using low setting. The warm air clears the mirror fast.
