Forbes Road advanced through the first round of the Teddy Thanos Basketball tournament Monday night with a seven-point victory over Shalom Christian. Slated to take on Fannett Metal during the championship game, the Lady Cardinals got 14 points and three steals from Kaili Hockensmith. Stephanie Worthing followed with eight points, and teammates Jessica Gearhart and Samantha Clippinger both posted seven.

Southern Fulton 46 Hyndman 31

Southern Fulton led by 16 points after the opening period of last Wednesday evening’s Sideling Hill League game and held on for the 46-31 win over the Hyndman Hornets. Lacey Beatty pumped in 18 points, and teammate Chelsie Eader netted 11 points, dished out four assists and made five steals. Amy Bard was the Indians’ next highest scorer with nine points and four rebounds.

Everett 63 Forbes Road 44

Everett’s high scorer poured in 30 points during a 63-44 victory over the Forbes Road Cardinals last Wednesday. During the Sideling Hill loss, Cardinal teammates Kaili Hockensmith and Sammie Clippinger both had 10 points. Shayla Carmack totalled eight points as the team’s next highest scorer.
Chestnut Ridge 49
McConnellsburg 12

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans season record dropped to 0-6 last Tuesday after dropped a Sideling Hill League game by Chestnut Ridge by 37 points. Casey Pollock had four points and five rebounds for the Spartans, who also received three points and two assists from Rachel Porterfield.
