Lydia Souders and friend Donnie Joe McNeely were home from North Carolina to visit with family during Christmas.

Joe and Melanie Myers family and Betty Ramsey visited with Mike and Teresa Souders and family on Sunday night for a shrimp meal to celebrate Donnie Joe McNeely’s and Lydia Souders’s birthdays.

Cody Myers, Lydia Souders and Donnie Joe McNeely traveled to New York City for a few days to experience the NYC Christmas activities and tree at Rockefeller Center and all the lights. They attended a performance of “Phantom of the Opera” and enjoyed other tourist activities.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff hosted Christmas dinner for Jen Ramsey, Dusty, Lucy and Sarah Ramsey, Tim Streightiff and Kenny and Kristi Watkins.

On Christmas Eve, the Streightiff family traveled to Huntingdon to celebrate with Huldah Streightiff and family.

Congratulations to Rob and Dani Fleming Dickinson on the birth of their daughter, Nattalee Marie, on December 15.

Congratulations to Dusty and Bridgette Hall Boden on the birth of their twin daughters, Elizabeth Blanche and Allison Marie, born last week in Conemaugh Hospital.

Recent visitors with Tim and Shirley Henry were Melvin and Mary Ann Cooper of Allenport. Visiting on Thursday were Shirley’s Uncle Don and Aunt Lib from Pogue.

Paul and Susie Schmidt hosted Christmas dinner for Alan and Tracey Schmidt, Barb Frehn, George Locke and Shirley and Tim Henry.

Chalmer and Patsy Mellott hosted a Christmas party on Saturday, December 12. Those attending were Chalmer and Patsy, Tom, Sherri, Zach and Michael Fleck, Randy, Trudy, Dylan and Tristan Gelvin, Maynard, Rhonda, Caitlin, Trent and Riley Black, Kristen Berkstresser, Tyler and Logan Robinette, Veronica and Naomi Scott, Daphne and Kenny Fraker, Teressa Souders, June and Shawn Mills, Marshall, Dixie and Casey Shaw and friend Jason, Logan Fraker and Brandon Brantner, Eunice and Jim Hawbaker, Dana and Mike Henry, Valerie and Bruce Herring and children, and Ben Souders.

Buzz and Bea Covert, Travis Madden and Angela Roher attended Christmas Day activities at the home of Andy and Tasha Goshorn.

Visiting over Christmas with Gordon, Donna and Justin Locke were Stan and Julie Locke Martin from Kentucky, Irene Park, Nora, Ruth and Karen Grissinger, Adam, Amanda, Toryn, Came-ron, Brayden, James and George Locke, Tiffany Moore, Destinie Ramsey, and Kadince and Justin Whitsel. Gordon, Donna and Justin Locke hosted Chirstmas dinner on Saturday, as the weather was bad on Christmas Day.

On Sunday afternoon, Gordon and Donna Locke and Irene Park attended the community choir cantata at Orbisonia Methodist Church. It was truly a beautiful cantata and all are to be congratulated on a job well done.

Visitors over Christmas with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Gordon and Donna Locke, Lynn Knepper, Buzz and Bea Covert, Norm and Janet Sipes, Neva Fleming, Nora Grissinger and Ramon Martin. Thanks to Donna Locke for providing Christmas entertainment with a “chuckling monkey.”

Tammy and Karen Grissinger visited with Travis, Tawnya, Tristen and Ty Hall on Tuesday evening. The new brother is doing fine and was “sleeping like a baby.”

A pesticide update training will be held at Southern Huntingdon County High School on January 28 in the vo-ag room from 7 to 9 p.m. Core and category credits will be given.
