Angel Food Ministries Angel Food Ministries January sign-up for menus and specials will be at Fulton County Catholic Mission on the following dates: Tuesday, January 5, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, January 6, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Thursday, January 7, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church, January 9, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you eat, you qualify. Free Clothing There will be free clothing available on Tuesday, January 12, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. Stephen Catholic Church. New children’s coats will be available for those in need. Further information may be obtained by calling Sister Margie at 717-485-5917.

Electronics Collection Recycle unwanted computer and electronics equipment. This event is an opportunity to dispose of obsolete/ unwanted electronics equipment in an environmentally sound way. It will be held Saturday, January 16 and 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 610 E. North Street, McConnellsburg (beside American Legion). Continued collection dates are January 18-22, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fulton County Conservation District Office, 216 North Second Street, McConnellsburg. Drop off personal computers, laptops, mainframe computers, hard drives, circuit boards, printers, modems, answering machines, CD players, DVD players, VCRs, cellphones, copiers, electronic games, fax machines, pagers, PDAs, radios, etc. Not accepted are televisions, microwaves, small kitchen appliances, batteries, lamps, vacuum cleaners, irons, fluorescent tubes and bulbs. Animal Shelter Donations Donations for Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter are being accepted at Morton’s Attic, 226 North Second Street, McConnellsburg, during the month of December. The CVAS are in great need of laundry detergent, bleach and trash bags. Also accepted are towels, washcloths, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, mattress pads, cleaning supplies (paper towels, buckets, brushes, window cleaner, etc.), tarps, office supplies (envelopes, stamps, etc.), dog harnesses, first aid items, cat and kitten food, dog and puppy food, pet shampoo and conditioner, dog and cat toys, treats, instant rice, baby food (lamb and veal), aluminum cans and “Paws” to recycle. Monetary donations are always welcomed and checks should be made out to CVAS. Morton’s is open daily Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Wednesday.
