Historical Society Meeting Gene Niswander of St. Thomas, an authority on American Indian culture of Pennsylvania, will speak to Fulton County Historical Society members and friends on Saturday evening, January 16, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fulton Theatre meeting room of F&M Trust on North Second Street, McConnellsburg. He will describe what drew Indians to our mountains and streams, the location of the largest rock quarry on the Eastern seaboard, and how to find arrowheads today. Guests may bring in local Indian artifacts for his free evaluation. The meeting is free and open to the pubic with a donation box to cover costs. Light refreshments will be served.
Republican Meeting The Fulton County Council of Republicans will meet on Thursday, January 14, at 4:45 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the Fulton County Library. New members are encouraged, and all are welcome to attend.
