Hancock 56 Forbes Road 43

With a lead going into the halftime break, Forbes Road fell apart in the the third period Monday and ended up trailing Hancock, Md. for the 56-43 loss. Kaili Hockensmith tallied 18 points and also had eight rebounds and four steals for the Lady Cardinals. Steph Worthing followed with eight points.

Juniata Mennonite 38

McConnellsburg 28

Juniata Mennonite utilized their size to outmaneuver Mc- Connellsburg Friday during the opening round of the Belleville Mennonite Tip-Off Tournament. During the 38-28 loss, the Spartans were led by Casey Pollock with nine points. Santana Ramsey was the next highest scorer with five points.

McConnellsburg 12

McConnellsburg dropped Saturday’s consolation game to tourney hosts Belleville Mennonite by the final score of 27-12 during the annual Tip-Off Tournament. Libby Strayer was the high scorer for the Spartans with four points, and Rachel Porterfield added three during the disappointing loss.

Southern Fulton 35

The Southern Fulton Indians season opener against Everett ended in a 15-point loss Saturday. Indians teammates Lacey Beatty and Chelsie Eader both tallied 12 points for the Indians during the Sideling Hill League match. Beatty also had four assists and five steals, while Eader made five steals. Jenna Hollenshead dominated the defensive effort with seven rebounds.
