Southern Fulton outscored Everett by 14 points during the second and third period of Monday night’s matchup and moved on for the 65-36 Sideling Hill League victory. Luke Mellott was the high scorer with 23 points and also pulled down nine rebounds. J.C. Munson also hit double figures with 12 points, and Ryan Herper had nine.

Tussey 72 McConnellsburg 36

McConnellsburg fell behind during the opening quarter of Monday evening’s Sideling Hill League game and couldn’t make up the deficit in the 72-36 trouncing at the hands of the Tussey Mountain Titans. Evan Appleby led his Spartan teammates with 12 points, and Ryan Defibaugh contributed nine points and nine rebounds.

Cumberland Valley Christian outscored Fulton County Community Christian School by seven points in the final quarter of last Thursday’s non-league match to slide by with a 50-46 victory. Kenny Lininger netted four three-point shots during the game and finished with a total of 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Chargers. Seth Gordon followed with 11 points, and T. J. Leedy added eight.

McConnellsburg 39

Mount Union ousted Mc- Connellsburg by a total of 30 points for a 69-39 victory during the ICC Challenge Tournament Friday. Ryan Defibaugh led the Spartans with 16 points and eight rebounds, and teammate Evan Appleby followed with 12 points.

Shanksville 14

With two players down and out with injuries, Shanksville only managed to score 14 points last Friday against the victorious Southern Fulton Indians. Ryan Harper led his Indians teammates with 15 points, and Luke Mellott also hit double digits with 11 points and five rebounds. Seth Hall managed six steals and five assists.

McConnellsburg Spartan Ryan Defibaugh was named to the ICC Challenge all-tournament team Saturday following the Spartans’ 10-point loss to Southern Huntingdon during the consolation match. Defibaugh finished the match with 14 points and six rebounds, and Nathan Swope netted seven points. Dwayne McNear added five points.
