Mary E. Clingerman
Born April 9, 1918 in Artemas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Rozella Clingerman Bishop and the widow of the late William Delbert “Deb” Clingerman, who died February 20, 1992.
She was formerly employed with Glen L. Martin in Baltimore, Md.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Warfordsburg.
She is survived by three daughters: Janet F. Wigfield and Pamela E. Shives, both of Warfordsburg; Doris M. Shives of Hancock, Md.; one sister, Betty Beaver of Winfield, Pa.; one brother, Ezra Bishop of Wolcott, N.Y.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Melissa Ann Butterbaugh and David Scott Shives; two sisters: Edna True and Elsie Weicht; and three brothers: Watson Bishop, John Bishop and Wilbert Bishop.
A service will be held Friday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Delmas Bard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md., and at the church on Friday 10-11 a.m.
