It seems as though Sunday gave us a little beginning of winter – ice. The next will be snow. Some churches didn’t have services due to the icy weather.
Visitors in the home of Betty Malot over the weekend were her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Funk of Oregon.
Happy birthday wishes to Tracey Cook, who will have a special day on December 23. He was almost a Christmas Day baby.
Now that deer season is finished, if you weren’t a lucky hunter I guess you will have to wait until next fall. I have heard of a few lucky ones.
It is beginning to look like the holiday is arriving with lots of lights brightening the area. We are enjoying the reason for the occasion with a nice nativity scene up at the home of Clara Mae Strait. Sometimes with all the gift buying and decorating, the rest of the meaning of this special day is sort of missed.
A nice crowd attended the public sale down at the auction building across from Freedom Worship Center on Saturday.
Charles Shotts is a patient at Holy Spirits Hospital in Harrisburg. We hear he may get home soon. We hope that is possible and that he will continue to improve.
Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage program on Saturday evening, December 26, at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m.
