Open Stage Hustontown Area Vol. Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, December 26, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m.

Christmas Program The Fulton County Community Christian School will present its annual middle school/high school Christmas program, Friday, December 18, at 7:00 p.m., featuring such songs as “Christmas Joy,” “It’s a Time for Joy,” “Joy” and other selections. The program will feature both middle school and high school choirs. “A Moment in Time” will feature soloist, Aimee Dean, and “I Will Be Your Servant” will be performed as a duet by Andrea Leedy and Caleb Myers. The program will also feature solos by Hannah Beddow and Samantha Tomlinson and will include hand bells, instrumental selections and piano specials. All are welcome. Basketball Tournament A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held Saturday, January 2, at the McConnellsburg Alumni Gym beginning at noon. Registration is from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All proceeds benefit Lori Everts of Warfordsburg, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. There will also be a food and bake sale, raffles and more. FR Basketball Season Passes Prices for Forbes Road basketball season passes are as follows: one adult pass for all boys games - $25.00; one adult pass for all girls games - $25.00; one adult pass for all girls and boys games - $40.00; family pass for boys games - $50.00; family pass for girls games - $50.00; family pass for both boys and girls games - $75.00. The price for tickets for basketball games will be adults $4 and students $2.

Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a regular shooting match on Saturday, December 19, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Various prizes will be awarded.

Mercersburg Christmas Walking Tour On Saturday, December 19, 2009, the historic Mercersburg churches listed below will be open from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. to welcome visitors. Each church will also present a 15-minute musical program at the specified times: 4:00 p.m., St. John’s EV Lutheran Church (1867), Linden Ave.; 4:30 p.m., Bethel A.M.E. Church (1892), W. California St.; 5:00 p.m., Presbyterian Church of Upper West Conococheague (1794), W. Seminary St.; 5:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church (1834), E. Seminary St.; 6:00 p.m., Trinity United Church of Christ (1845), E. Seminary St.; 6:45 p.m., Clayton Memorial Church of God (1948), Charlestown Road.
