Shelvy J. McCusker

Hancock, 70

Shelvy Jean McCusker, 70, Hancock, Md., died Thursday, December 3, 2009, at the home of her sister, Delores Lucas of Warfordsburg.

Born January 11, 1939, in Washington County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Margaret Roman Flowers Mann; the stepdaughter of the late Espy Mann and the widow of Harry William McCusker, who died May 8, 1997.

She was a 1957 graduate of Hancock High School and was retired from Londontown.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Ladies of Mt. Olivet Church.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society Country Rosebuds.

Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Leach, Hancock; two sons: David McCusker, Warfordsburg; Danny McCusker, Hancock; one sister, Delores Lucas, Warfordsburg; three brothers: Carl Flowers and Belvie Mann, both of Hancock; Larry Mann, Great Cacapon, W.Va.; three grandsons: Bryan Mc- Cusker, Brendon McCusker and Jordan Leach, all of Hancock.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Homer and Harold Flowers and Donald Mann.

Services were held Monday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church. Rev. Phillip Unger officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, was in charge of arrangements.
