Walnut Grove Church of God held its annual Christmas party following worship services on Sunday. Donations for “Toys for Tots” were collected at the dinner.

Roger and Pat Ramsey enjoyed the Living Christmas Tree program at the Newburg Church of God on Friday evening. They enjoyed dinner at Diffy’s in Shippensburg with Brian and Micah Ramsey and Wayne and Elaine Good before the program.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to Angel Wings organization may do so at any Community State Bank. All charitable donations will be distributed throughout the surrounding communities to help those who are having financial difficulties or special needs due to any illness. Special thanks to the “angels behind the scenes:” Sandy Ridge Market of Orbisonia, The Brass Lantern of Rockhill, Save-A-Lot food chain of McConnellsburg, Pam Myers, Joanne (Wakefield) Appleby, Stuart Ulsh family, Jeremy Wible, Kate Cowan, and Danny Shoop for helping to make the first annual Angel Wings Christmas Bazaar possible. Winners for the Angel Wings bazaar raffle were Sue Mc- Conaughey, BJ Country Place and Jane Moore.

Tammy Cantrell and Ruth Grissinger were seen at the “OC” Friday evening enjoying the presentation of “The Christmas Choir.”

Mikey and Aaron Snyder were seen on the Polar Bear Express Saturday with grandparents Denny and Hilda Wilson.

Immanuel Bible Church will be having its Christmas musical program on Sunday evening, December 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The annual Christmas Eve candlelight service begins at 6 p.m.

Chiz Rider will be in concert at the Immanuel Bible Church on Friday evening, December 11, beginning at 7 p.m.

A pesticide update training will be held at Southern Huntingdon County High School on January 28 in the Vo-Ag room from 7 to 9 p.m. Core and category credits will be given.
