BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) – A puppy’s owner has been charged with animal cruelty along with her boyfriend who told police kicked the animal to death because it was misbehaving before the start of Sunday’s broadcast of the Pittsburgh Steelers game.
Police say 21-year-old Christine Gielarowski (gee-lah-ROW’- skee), of Bridgeville, is charged because she failed to stop her live-in boyfriend from killing the dog.
Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, is charged with animal cruelty in the 13-week-old pit bull’s death.
A witness told Bridgeville police Woodson kicked the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m., which is when the game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be walking the dog and was angry that Gielarowski bought it.
