Intended For Last Week

We extend our sympathy to the family and relatives of Richard Wible. He will be greatly missed.

Those Christmas trees are starting to be put up and trimmed for the holiday season.

It was good to see a nice attendance at Knobsville United Methodist Church last Sunday. We hear Fairview United Methodist Church had a nice attendance as well.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Goldie DeShong, who passed away on Monday.

As we enjoy this Thanksgiving, take time to really give thanks to the Master as we all have so much to be thankful for. Also, think of the military folks who are away from home over the holidays and keep them in your prayers and also all the folks who are ill.

Also, safe hunting to all the hunters going out for that big buck.

This Week’s Items

We had a beautiful Thanksgiving and weekend. Also, it wasn’t too bad for Monday morning deer hunters, but the rest of the week doesn’t sound as good.

Happy birthday wishes this week to Mark Gelvin and Caitlin Black.

We extend our sympathy to the family and relatives of Derwood Orr and also to the family and relatives of Goldie DeShong.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all the turkey and ham.

Thanksgiving dinner guests with Kate Berkstresser were Harvey and Pat Berkstresser and Lloyd Covert. Other visitors later in the day were Shawn, Jackie and Ryan Berkstresser of Slippery Rock. At Herbie and Tammy Berkstresser and Aaron’s were Herbert Berkstresser III and Tabitha and children of Mc- Connllsburg and Kate Berkstresser and Jonathan Berkstresser.

If you have been watching the news, we have to wonder what is happening to our Christian way of life when we see it being replaced by some non-Christians advertisement. Are we standing back and watching this happen. We should help to keep it from happening, if we know what can be done.

This Monday was the beginning of deer season, so hope all you hunters were lucky in getting that buck. Shawn Berkstresser was lucky to get an eight-point.

Children are enjoying their short vacation from school but only for a short time. It will be Christmas and New Year’s vacation soon, however.

Household hint: Coffee and tea stain. It is wise to wash out the container you use for coffee or tea with a solution of baking soda and hot water. This removes the stain and makes for better tasting coffee or tea.
