Mickey – Black United
Katrina Marie Black and Joseph Edward Mickey were united in marriage April 18, 2009, at Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Mc- Connellsburg. The 3:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Pastor Sam Stoey and Pastor David Carroll.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Angie Black of Hustontown. She is the granddaughter of Ken and Dorothy Hall, McConnellsburg, and Donald and Arlene Black, Waterfall. She also is the great-granddaughter of Helen Imler, New Enterprise.
The groom is the son of Ed and Laura Mickey, Mc- Connellsburg. He is the grandson of Lou Ramsey and the late Gerald Ramsey, Mc- Connellsburg, and Ronald and JoAnn Mickey and the late Veset Shatzer, St. Thomas.
Jennifer Wright served as maid of honor. Brittani Fluke and Chelsea Wade, friends of the bride, along with Taylor Souders, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaids.
Sam Mickey, brother of the groom, served as best man. Coty DeShong and Chris Lynch, friends of the groom, along with Dylan Black, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.
Peyton Truax, cousin of the groom, and Logan DeShong, friend of the bride, were ringbearers. Morgan DeShong, friend of the bride, was flowergirl. Pianist was Amy Patterson and soloist was Jamie Stoey, both friends of the bride. Serving as guestbook attendant was Kayla Knepper, friend of the bride. The bridesmaid dresses were made by Melissa Souders, cousin of the bride.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at Hustontown Firehall.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Forbes Road High School and a 2008 graduate of Allegheny College of Maryland. She is employed at Fulton County Medical Center.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of New Life Christian Academy. He is employed at McConnellsburg Motor & Implement in McConnellsburg.
After a honeymoon to Orlando, Fla., the newlyweds now reside in McConnellsburg.
