Shirley L. Kline
Born November 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter Preston Ryder and Martha G. Fogal Ryder.
A homemaker most of her life, she held many positions. She was a full time mom, she trained German shepherds in obedience and managed all of the family businesses. Well known as being a very generous person who was full of life and who listened to everyone, believing every person was worth understanding. She was always trying to help. A very creative person by nature, her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, antiques and music.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ralph F. Kline, whom she married on August 14, 1954; her beloved children: Angela R. Kline, Lisa S. Todino and her husband, Ralph, and John M. Kline and his wife, Susie; and her cherished grandchildren: John R. and Leah R. Kline.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Rev. Matthew Richardson officiated. Interment was at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
