Thank Community For Caring
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all we have to be thankful for. God has truly blessed us, so that’s why we wanted to write this letter to let everyone know how wonderful this community is.
Thank you to all our family, friends, neighbors and churches who have supported us by sending a card, gift or bringing a meal; Cove Mills Old Farm Machinery Assoc. for holding a benefit concert; and all of those who donated their time and gifts to make that benefit possible for us. But most of all, thank you to everyone for your love and prayers.
At home is a shoebox full of hundreds of cards that we’ve received since the accident on June 2, 2009, that has grown daily. In the last five months Stacy has been admitted to the hospital at Hershey four times and had five surgeries, but through all those times it’s that shoebox at home that has helped us get through this. You see each card in that box represents the love, thoughts and prayers and God is listening and truly answering each and every one of them. Thank you seems not enough for all God and this community has done for us. Stacy is getting stronger every day and enjoys fellowship with visitors. When the infections are gone, possibly in February 2010, he is to have surgery to put a titanium plate in. So please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless and be with you all.
