Dolly I. Duvall
She was born in Saxton, on October 15, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Nevada (Thomas) Bollman. She was the widow of Ralph Duvall whom she married on March 10, 1965. He passed away August 2, 2008.
She worked at Kosher Empire in Mifflintown, Seaton Leather in Saxton and retired from Cove Shoe in Martinsburg, Pa. After retirement, she was known for making quilts and donating them to surrounding nursing homes. The last quilt was given to a soldier at the Walter Reed Hospital whose injuries were sustained from the Iraq War. He had no family of his own and it was her way of letting him know he was loved for his great sacrifice.
She is survived by daughters: Rebecca R. Airhart of Mt. Union; Ruth Lorrine Jackson of Opelika, Ala.; Mildred R. King, Fort Littleton; sons: Michael B. Airhart of Wilksboro, Pa.; Donald P. Airhart of New Enterprise; Daniel B. Airhart of Roaring Springs; sisters: Nevada Ruby of Youngstown, Ohio; Ruth Tedrow of Saxton; Ethel Ford of Todd; Margaret Cornelius of Puttstown, Pa.; Hannah McKnight of Cassville, Pa.; Elsie Gates of Dudely; Mary Ann Weaver of Bendersville, Pa.; Sally Lee Hess of Cassville; brother Joseph Bollman of Quakertown, Pa.; 21 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Paul Edward and David Alfred Bollman.
Services will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Interment will be at Wells Valley United Methodist Cemetery, Wells Tannery, PaA.
There will be visitation on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McCon-nellsburg. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
