Loan Officer Hired At Community State Bank

Dan Nead comes to Community State Bank of Orbisonia with more than 28 years banking experience, including more than 25 years of lending experience in the general Huntingdon County market with a focus exclusively on commercial lending for the past 12 years. In his new position as commercial loan officer, he will be focused on meeting the financing needs of the bank’s existing and prospective commercial borrowers throughout the bank’s market utilizing its network of seven branch facilities located within Huntingdon, Bedford and Fulton counties. Nead is a Huntingdon native, graduating from Huntingdon High School. He is also a graduate of the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association’s Central Atlantic Schools of Banking and Commercial Lending at Bucknell University. He also satisfactorily completed numerous American Institute of Banking courses acquired through the Keystone Valley and Altoona chapters.

Nead resides near Marklesburg with his wife, Brenda, and their two children, Sara and Jacob. He and his family attend the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntingdon where he has previously served on the church council and currently serves as treasurer, a position he has held for many years. He is also a member of the Marklesburg Fire Co. and currently serves on the Huntingdon County Enterprise Zone-Revolving Loan Fund Committee. He also currently serves on the board of directors and is treasurer of the Huntingdon Little League Inc. He is a past member and past president of the Juniata Valley Lions Club and is a former United Way Campaign volunteer.
