Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes sponsored annually by Samaritan Purse, will be collected at My Father’s House Ministries, located at 1635 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, from Monday, November 16-23 during the following hours: Monday, Thursday and Saturday, 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, noon until 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, the boxes will be delivered to the collection center in Waynesboro. Used Book Drive Forbes Road field hockey teams are now accepting used books, magazines, movies, music and puzzles. Collection boxes have been placed in area businesses for these used items to be dropped off. The used book sale will take place in the Forbes Road cafeteria on Friday, December 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 5, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. In addition there will be a bake sale at those times.
