Trap Shoots Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club wish to invite the public to practice trap shoots every Friday night until November 20 and trap shoots at noon the third Sunday of every month from now until the end of the year.

Sight-In Days Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club will hold its annual sight-in days at the club range November 21 and 22 from noon until 5:00 p.m. Club members will be on hand for assistance if needed. This is open to the general public.

Gingerbread House Contest A Child’s “Make and Take” Ginger Bread House Contest, for children ages 4 to 12 years will be held Saturday, December 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Fulton Theatre. Each child will be provided with a small gingerbread house and decoration supplies. Entries for each age group will be judged at 1 p.m. Winners of each category will be displayed at the newly renovated Fulton County Library. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted. Register at Fulton County Center for Families, any of the Fulton County libraries, Southern Fulton Elementary School office, McConnellsburg Elementary School office, or e-mail the child’s name, age and phone number to Syoungblood@sakindness.org. To ensure enough supplies for all participants, preregistration is strongly encouraged. Sponsored by Simple Act of Kindness, a community out-reach program of Christian Social Services.

Pool League Tournament Fulton County Pool League will be having a 9-ball pool tournament at the Eagles Club in Harrisonville, Saturday, November 14, at 1:00 p.m. Sign-up will begin at noon. This tourn-ament will be open to the public to anyone 21 years of age and over. Tournament will be a blind draw with single competition; a player must win two of a three-game bracket and will shoot all the games required when drawn at table. Winner of bracket will advance, loser will not. Winner of the championship must win three of a five-game bracket.

FCCCS Dinner/Auction FCCCS dinner/auction which will be held on Saturday, November 14, at the Hustontown Firehall. A wide array of items, including beautiful quilts, Mark Noe and Brian Tucker prints, guns, crafts, toys, antiques, and two tickets to the Steelers game on Sunday, November 15 will be offered. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children from 6-12, and free for children under 6. Schedule is 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - silent auction; 5:30 p.m. - dinner; 6:00 p.m. - silent auction winners receive their items; 6:30 p.m. - traditional auction. Christmas Bazaar A Christmas bazaar will be held at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, three miles west of Needmore, on Friday, November 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 a.m .to 3:00 p.m. Lots of crafts and food.

MES Musical The McConnellsburg Elementary School will present “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs” to audiences on Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, at 7:30 p.m., and a Sunday matinee November 15, at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be held in the Mc- Connellsburg High School Auditorium. Winter Craft Show Shade Gap Auxiliary’s winter craft show will be held Saturday, November 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 22, noon to 4:00 p.m. Twenty-three vendors, homecooked food available. A photographer will be there for winter portraits. All are welcome.

Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor shooting matches every Saturday in November beginning at 1:00 p.m. First and second prizes will be awarded.

Food Auction Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a food auction on Friday, November 13 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Frozen foods, snacks and miscellaneous foods will be offered for sale. Kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m.

Open Stage Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, November 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and share talent.

New York City Trip Modern Woodmen of America Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, December 5. The bus departs from McConnellsburg Courthouse at 6:00 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast buffet at approximately 8:30 a.m .and arrive in new York City near Macy’s at approximately 11:30 a.m. Depart near the Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. A stop will be made halfway home for supper. Estimated arrival back in McConnellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost is $50 for adults and $45 for children under 23. X Card Shoots Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club X-card shoots begin until November 20 and start at 7:00 p.m. Ten chances to shoot for $10 at an X card. First place is a turkey or ham; second place bacon. The last round is $5 to win the $50 meat round.
